	8 May 2009 (Friday) is the last day to submit your application for Special Conditions in Autumn semester Centrally-conducted Exams. Intensive workshops in July: 4–18 July. Registration is now open. Click here for more information. Applications close on 12 June 2009. ELSSA Centre Director, Alex Barthel, was awarded a 2008 Australian Learning & Teaching Council Citation for outstanding contribution to student learning, in recognition of his "outstanding leadership in the provision of sustainable academic language and learning support that has influenced and enhanced learning and teaching". ELSSA Centre Director, Alex Barthel, has won the 2007 UTS Learning and Teaching Awards, in the category of Academic Support. ELSSA Centre senior lecturer, Caroline San Miguel, received a Carrick Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
